How I Started
Photography has always been an interest of mine. Starting at a young age, I would always play around with the family camera. What started off as a couple random selfies and pictures quickly turned into an interest of mine. When I entered high school I decided sign up for my first photography class. Little did I know I absolutely fall in love with being behind the camera. Luckily for me, at the age of 16 my parents decided to gift me my first canon camera. From there, I would take pictures of my friends for fun and use them as an opportunity to perfect my craft. As I became more passionate about photography, I decided to make my own photo account on Instagram. Once I started getting booked for photoshoots, I left each session feeling more inspired to create. Quickly after that, I knew I wanted to turn my passion into a career. That is how ChieuPhotos got started.

My name is Jessica Chieu and I am a 22 years old. I am a portrait photographer based in the Kansas City area.
I am very passionate about capturing memories and showcasing ones true authentic self. Fun, vibrant, and modern photos are guaranteed with my work. My goal is to give you one of a kind photos that are timeless and special.
Fun Facts about me:
I graduated from The University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
I shoot on a Canon R6. Most of the time you'll catch me using my 24-70 mm lens.
My astrology sign is a Gemini.
I'm bilingual. I can speak both English & Vietnamese fluently.
If you catch me on my tip toes it's because I'm 5'1".
